This is an unusual Art Nouveau purse and compact. Measuring 2 1/2” in an octagonal shape made in brass. This purse is very ornate, it has filagree and repose work around the edges. The body of the purse opens to reveal a silk interior with a pocket, when filled, the back of the purse expands to hold items. The round top of the purse also opens to reveal a mirror and a place for powder, rouge, or even medication. Both the top and back are loaded with royal blue rhinestone accents both round and diamond shapes. The center glass piece resembles webbed turquoise. There is a pearl toned glass, swirl drop, hanging from the hinged edge of the purse. What a fantastic and extraordinary addition to any collection or to compliment any extravagant outfit! Enjoy!!!
